With a rich history of almost 20 years, Style of Old Skool was founded by Mr. Hanai Takashi, one of the members of the infamous BeBop Crew and Wrecking Crew Orchestra from Japan. This competition consists of Locking 1vs1 category and crew showcases during the event.

Soul Good Lockers, a Locking Dance Community in Malaysia has collaborated with Mr. Hanai Takashi to have this event in South East Asia for the first time and it was held in Malaysia as a Finals Qualifier, with its Grand Finals set to be held later this Year in Taiwan. Hence, the event is entitled Style of Old Skool South East Asia 2019.
馬來西亞锁舞活动主办单位Soul Good Lockers与Hanai Takashi先生合作, 首次在東南亞举办此次活动. 並在馬來西亞进行区域种子赛, 获胜者可到台湾参与世界总决赛. 因此, 该活动名為Style of Old Skool South East Asia 2019.
Partnering with Forest_Clothing, 97Bros and NonDezcript Production, the event was held at Get Space, Ara Damansara and was attended by close to 100 participants for its Locking and Open-Style 1vs1 category!
